OCCUPATIONAL PROFILE

Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied across most sectors making this an excellent apprenticeship for progression into management. A business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation by supporting functional areas, working across teams both internally and externally and resolving issues.  They may work independently or as part of a team to develop, implement, maintain and improve the administrative services within a company or organisation.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Employers decide the entry requirement typically:

■ 5 GCSEs (A*- C)

Level 2 English and Maths can be included in the programme if not achieved before starting the course.

QUALIFICATIONS

■ Business Administrator Level 3

COURSE OVERVIEW AND LEARNING

The course is delivered on-site by an allocated personal training advisor and tailored to the learner’s business.

The learner will acquire readily transferable departmental and organisational skills to support multiple business functions such as utilising various IT, filing, project management and reporting platforms.

They will also learn written, verbal and business communication skills.

END-POINT ASSESSMENT

■ Knowledge-based multiple-choice test

PORTFOLIO BASED PRESENTATION

■ A work-based presentation providing evidence such as a project or case study
